Global Warming simply means that the Earth’s surface temperature continues to rise. Global temperatures have risen by about 1 degree Celsius since about 1800, and people in countries like Sri Lanka do not care so much because they are constantly exposed to different environmental temperatures. But this is a process that will bring about a great deal of environmental change and will bring about a great deal of change in the human environment and the surrounding natural environment globally. For example , in Greenland alone between 1150-250 cubic kilometers of glaciers melt each year due to global warming. These melting ice cubes join the sea as water. In addition, the melting of the North Pole and South Pole glaciers causes water to enter ocean and raise ocean temperatures. We must talk about global warming , nature and expected outcomes.

Sea levels have risen by about 17cm in the last century, and scientists predict that the situation could double in the next century. It also says that the sea level could rise by about 120cm. In such a situation countries like Maldives are at risk of being completely submerged and Sri Lanka’s coastal areas are still being severely eroded as a result of this global warming. Global warming is causing sea levels to rise. It is also expected to change the intensities of extreme weather conditions and rainfall patterns and volumes.

The main causes and effects of this global warming are related to excess Carbon dioxide (CO₂) and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This compound acts as a superheating layer on Earth, resulting in overheating of the Earth.

In addition to carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases, there are a number of measures that can be used to burn fossil fuels for energy and to aggravate certain agricultural activities ( such as land and deforestation, logging and arson).

In general , the cause of this phenomenon is considered to be human influence. Studies show that the decade from 2000 to 2009 was the hottest decade in the last 200 years. Fuel combustion is a factor affecting global warming , petroleum, gas , coal and fuels are widely used in the world today. As the population grows , people use more and more fuels to meet their needs. This adds more harmful gases to the environment, such as carbon dioxide. Furthermore this is causing global warming. It should be stopped immediately. Renewable energy should be used for that. The world collects a lot of garbage, which allows us to produce biogas on a large scale. It needs programs. Programs that have already begun should be promoted. Then fuel combustion can be minimized. It estimated that by 2100, about 25% of the worlds climate will be new. This can also lead to the extinction of plant and animal species. Then biodiversity is also directly affected.

However, we are facing the threat of global warming. We must work to prevent it. Man cuts down plants in large numbers. We can work to reduce this global warming by growing plant cover. I have experience with this.

Everyone at our university put together a program called “Ruk Ropana”. There all the students planted plants together. It was possible to plant a large number of plants there. It is a great help to the plant community. Those plants will one day grow into big trees. Even if we are not in this world, those trees will give life and breath to everyone, this program did a great service to our environment.

We must certainly deliver our service in this way to improve the global environment. It must be done without delay. Otherwise the world will soon be heading for another dark age. Also an organization of our university implemented a project to plant a tree in their own background under the Covid-19 situation. This also enabled Mother Nature to contribute a large number of plants. This is what we should do. It is my view that such tree planting programs can be implemented regionally and globally. We need to raise our voices to take the environment to a better place.

This global warming will affect all of our activities. It has even contributed to climate change. Things like changing rainfall patterns, changing climate zones, and having to deal with disasters such as floods and hurricanes. Therefore our needs should be as environmentally friendly as possible. Then both the environment and man are protected. Unnecessary harassment of the environment has bad consequences for human beings.

Measures such as sustainable goals have been taken to prevent environmental hazards, including global warming. But even today they are not functioning property. We can minimize this danger by implementing things like this very well. As I mentioned above, we must always implement programs such as tree planting. And everyone should have in their hearts the idea that the environment should be protected. We can also implement programs to develop such altitudes. This idea can be taken to everyone by building a dialogue about protecting the environment.

Also various designs have been developed on the use of biogas. By promoting such products consumption and using them in an environmentally friendly manner. Not only is global warming on the rise, there are other things that are harming the environment. They are mostly caused by human activities. This is because they go out of their way to meet their unlimited needs with limited resources. The natural environment does not grow as the population grows, so it is important to understand and act on that fact. Global warming is something that can have a huge impact on the world. It is a pleasure to have such comments to make the world better. It is not something that can be done and alone. It must all be joined together. As an Eco friendly person I love the environment very much. And to make the world better, we must all unite regionally and globally. This is the time to work together.
